[link]SunnyCon was brilliant - one of my best friends and her fiancee let me stay with them for the weekend, in return for attending the convention!

I saw old friends and met lots of lovely people! There were lots of enthusiastic Cosplayers, gorgeous Japanese-style cakes on sale, the staff were friendly and helpful, and I sold most of what I'd made! I also met Veronica Taylor, she's a sweet and patient lady! (voice of Ash Ketchum from Pokemon) My Pirate England plush doll met Chris Sabat! I was busy manning the art-table and my friends wanted Chris's autograph, so I sent the Pirate plush doll with them! The photographic evidence is currently on my friend's camera, but I did see a picture of Chris trying to lick the Pirate's ear!

. Everything was happening in the same room, so I was able to enjoy the panels that both Veronica and Chris gave. I helped to judge the Cosplay Skit contest (so many great entries!), offered one of my fabric plushes for the "Aid for Japan" auction (a small Davey Jones octopus with a tricorn hat!) and was interviewed by "The Geek Show" (104.5 FM Teesside, UK) for their weekly radio show! (If anyone is interested in hearing the interview, here it is:

In short, I'd love to go to SunnyCon again if it happens next year!

Next stop: Hello Scotland! I will have an artist table at Dee Con at The Union, Dundee on 7th April. Who's going, do let me know!
I'm signing off now, lots of work to continue preparing! Then after I return to England on Monday, I have 3 days to make everything all over again for Kitacon.
